Overcast - A photography series captured in-between the two lockdowns of 2020 here in the UK.
The mood is bleak, the people are sparse, the clouds are closing in. Atmospherically, the collection portrays a reflection of the melancholic and somewhat oppressive year that most of us are experiencing.
Photography and exploring offers a much needed distraction in uncertain times. It's about the journey. The moments. The company. The McDonald's breakfasts (no road trip can start without one, right?).
Full series coming soon. Shot on the greyest of grey sky days at:
Bournemouth
Glasgow
Brighton
Ingoldmells
Weston-super-Mare
Margate
Portishead
Ilfracombe
Clovelly
Clevedon
- It's been a funny old year as I'm sure you'd agree!
Moving away from a fully monochrome style it was time to invite some colour back in.
Desperate to get out and photograph anything other than the local park was high on the list of priorities after the lockdown.
This forthcoming series documents the eerily quiet coastal resorts on some of the colder and greyer days.
A couple of the images are due to be published in a poetry and arts magazine called The Broken Spine.
Full collection coming soon...
